- Diehard ravers who return to the same crowd
About
For three nights each November, a faded seaside holiday camp turns into something far stranger than its pastel chalets suggest. Everything happens indoors, which makes the weather irrelevant and the timetable relentless, with multiple venues running a spread of acid, jungle, rave hardcore, drum and bass, breakcore, techno and harder electronic strains rarely programmed together elsewhere. The Skyline Pavilion sits at the centre, but the appeal lies in the broader sense of taking the place over: regulars dress up, decorate their accommodation and treat the whole site as fair game. It is a tight-knit crowd that returns year after year, and the atmosphere leans more towards committed party than passive spectacle. The format suits people who want their rave indoors, self-catered and shared with friends, and who already know the harder, faster end of electronic music.
